Shockwave Update Released - New Flash Player, Adobe Reader, Acrobat Vulnerability Announced

No sooner does Adobe patch security holes in one product, than it announces new holes in others.  When updating Shockwave, be sure to deselect the add-on software - you know the drill.  Patches for Flash and the PDF programs will be forthcoming at a later date.

Thanks for the heads-up, SendOfJive. Shockwave seems to be a rather adequate name, considering all the patches which are being unleashed :-)

Didn't we just go through this?

This mess is starting to get old.:smileyindifferent:

Thanks SendOfJive

Hello SOJ, I saw the Registry Mechanic scan bundled in the Shockwave download. Maybe going the Shareware route would stop these unneeded items. Have a free version and the shareware version? Just an idea I was thinking about. Do you know when Flash and PDF are coming?..I had a hard time getting the flash to go in Firefox. Thrills again!..Thanks for informing…paul

I should edit this last post. I realized that they do have shareware versions on Adobe products. I reverse my thinking on shareware-keep it free…

They're shooting for November 9 for the Flash Player update and November 15 for the Adobe Reader and Acrobat patch.

Is the vulnerability effecting Adobe reader only. How about foxit?

There is a patch for ADOBE AIR. It goes from version 2.3 to 2.5. It’s available at the Adobe Website.
