Shoddy tech support

I just spent an hour with a Norton agent who instead of figuring out why certain programs couldn’t be whitelisted with the firewall set Trust Level to Full Trust and then created a firewall rule that basically allows all traffic from anywhere to enter. Then this agent told me not to change anything. Then gives BS tech reasons why this solution is legit. I’m so upset. The changes this agent made did is the same as not having a firewall at all!!! I’m now having to undo all the changes this agent made. Then what? What kind of security service was that coming from a company that supposed to provide security? It should make you wonder how many customers have ‘any any’ rules added to their firewall by Norton agents because most people don’t know that this basically allows all traffic so there’s no more errors from the customers perspective.
