Shortened Full Computer Scan SendOfJive 04-15-2012

Hi:

My full scan was realy short so I followed SendOfJives instructions posted on 04-15-2012 and noticed that a few days ago Norton scanned about 1,120,000 items.  Now it  scans 333,287 items and skips 269,810 items.  I am wondering what could have happened to the 500,000 missing items.

Thanks,

2JohnC2

Thank you.

I am not sure if the "missing" fiels are those that were scanned previoulsy or were just not scvanned. I went to history anf ound that  333,000 were scanned and about 270,000 were skipped.  But a few dats ago 1,120,000 were scanned and 1 skipped. I am a novice so I can't answer your question.

Hi 2JohnC2,

Have you opened Norton History to Show: Scan Results, highlighted the problematic scan entry, clicked "More Details" and expanded the Total Items Scanned to see the actual file counts for the scan?  You will need to add any Skipped files and Trusted files to the total file count, as they are not included in the total figure.  If you do this, are you still having a large number of files unaccounted for?
