Should I be worried?

Hi All.

When I am checking my history, i have had Nortons 2009 Antivirus Block

(medium severity)

Unauthorized access block (open process token)

Actor: c:\program files\google\update\googleupdate.exe

Target: C:\program Files/norton Antivirus\Engine\16.5.0.134\ccSCVhst.exe

Action: Open Process Token

Reaction: Unauthorized access block.

Is this something to be concerned about, or is Nortons blocking something from google.

Thanks kindly for any insight!

Cheers

Thanks so much for the fast reply and making me feeling much better!

I had to reformat due to a nasty Malwar issue, so I was becoming super paranoid.

Thanks again!

Cheers

Hi there -

For the last few weeks, pretty much every time I've turned on my laptop, Norton 360 has had a warning for me - either that it needs to scan for virus definitions, or that it needs to run LiveUpdate, or that it needs to run a virus scan.  When I get it to do whatever action it's asking to do, all that Norton can find is cookies, so I presume this Norton overactivity is nothing to worry about?  I just thought I'd better double-check, because Norton has only started being so overactive very recently.  It's a Dell Inspiron laptop, and this Norton overactivity has coincided with the Dell Support Center kicking in much more frequently than it used to, as well as the Dell Datasafe Local Backup recently kicking in too, apparently in order to update my Recovery Partition.  Any ideas?

Thanks.
