Should NIS Auto-Protect be disabled for Windows Updates

I am using Norton Inernet Security 2014 (version 22.5.2.15) on my HP ProBook 450 G1 Notebook PC, which is running on Windows 8.1

I have 2 Questions, which I would greatly appreciate if someone would answer:

1. Should the Norton Internet Security  "Auto-Protect" (Anti-Virus) function be disabled, when downloading and installing Windows Updates ?

2. Should the Norton Internet Security "Boot Time Protection"  be set to "OFF", when downloading and installing Windows Updates, which usually requires a mandatory restart to complete the installation of the Windows update files ?

Thank you
