Hi sea_monster,

We've addressed this same concern of yours on several occasions, stating clearly our intentions with this "inline". This thread is now locked, since you have a few discussions on this same topic on a few different threads already. Thank you.

Hi,

Good Job on the FF3 fix.  I am sure a lot of users are very please.....But,

only when I check this forum that I was found of the fix with FF3.  However, I think it is a courtesy for Symentec to state in the website that version 15.5 can be use with FF3.

At least, give the users an option whether they want to use their current version or update to version 15.5.

Again, I have stress (as per my previous threads), not informing MASS users about the fix is unacceptable.

I understand if (symentec) not informing about the fix prior to stable release, but since now you have informed about the fix via this

Forum, Shouldn't you post it on Symentec's Website?

Thank you

You seem to assume that everyone, or even a majority, uses FF3 but they don't! I have never had any version of FIrefox on my machines and I don't see any need to change!

If that download was only to fix FF3 problems I don't need a special message that it is available.

If you are an FF3 user I would expect your fellow users to be feeding this information to you on FF websites. And if you have what you regard as a specific Norton situation with FF3 I would expect you to find your way here either directly or viia Norton Support.

Also remember that that update has only just become available and that I'm not sure that any of us have any idea what Norton is doing about announcing specific fixes -- I'm not sure that they have ever done this if there have been other similar situations.

You have made your point repeatedly and we have had the explanation from Norton as to why Live Update did neither automatically apply the update nor give us a message it was available. I respect their judgement on this.

Do remember that this Forum is brand new and is still in BETA. If it is not yet publicized on Symantaec Websites I'm sure it will be.

Just my point of view <s>
