Side scanning technology on your phone?

Hello. I just watched a video on you tube, the video is by ‘HAMPTON LAW’ and the name of the video is ‘LAWYER: How Cops Use Apple’s NEW Tech to Spy on You’.

Imagine you take a photo of your kid’s rash to send to the doctor…and a few hours later, police show up at your door. They’re not there because of a warrant or anyone complain. They’re there because your phone quietly reported you. Now imagine that same “snitch mode” running on every photo you take, every DM you send, every file you save—all before it’s encrypted, all without a judge ever signing off. That’s not science fiction. It’s called CLIENT SIDE SCANNING. Governments are actively pushing tech companies to turn it on, and big tech has already built most of the machinery.

This digital ‘COP IN YOUR POCKET’ technology is just getting way too out of hand, I wanted to post this to gather some thoughts on this technology, and I’m curious to know if Norton knows about it or is in process of developing COUNTER SIDE SCAN software? You can view the original video I’m talking about here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtJj-mjH-2Q

God bless and Merry Christmas. :christmas_tree:

As noted in that video, this technology is for use by law enforcement and government agencies. There would be no way for an AV product to bypass a ‘feature’ that is hard coded into the OS.

The only people that need to worry about this is those that are on the wrong side of the law.

I’m not saying anyone wants to see this coming. So as noted in the video, you need to contact your lawmakers to voice your opinion to try to stop this from being implemented.
