Slow loading webpages in Windows 10 using Chrome browser

Norton 360 user updated 8 days go to version 22.24.7.8 My computer has recently been very slow to load new webpages using Chrome browser and Windows 10 (In no hurry to update to Windows 11). Anyone else experiencing the issues with a similar setup?

Slow loading webpages in Windows 10 using Chrome browser

slow loading only using Chrome?
normal loading using Edge/Firefox?

I generally use Chrome browser with a DuckDuckGo extenson & didn’t have any issues until recent slow loading. Edge is a total mess on my laptop (lenovo carbon x1) maybe because I have refused the upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 so far. I have tried Firefox in the distant past but am open to try it again if it’s compatible with DuckDuckGo and has less “baggage” than Chrome or Edge.
