Hello alfredjackson.
Welcome to the Community.
We try to help, but I cannot work out what the issue is from your post. If you would like to post again (possibly without links) and clearly explain what your problem is, we will try to help. If it is not the same as RoPetri's (which it does not seem to be) then it might be better to start a new thread.
I will await a new post.
Hello Andmike,
Thank you for your fast reply.
Wuen I'm changing the SIP it works fine.
When I'm just booting my alaxy S2 I receive an SMS (in German):
SIM R changed
Sender: Info about SIM-change
IMEI: <removed>
No locking of the device.
It don't happen with the SIM cards of Vodafone.
I have it just with the SIM cards of 1&1, a german Company linked with Vodafone.
I use the NMS version 3.0.0.692 bought in the Play Store.
Another question related to that issue:
How / where can I change the fonenumber where the SMS "SIM changed" wil be sent?
I'm looking forward for the next ideea, R. Petri

Hi RoPetri,
From the information that you have provided, it looks like you are receiving SMS informing about the SIM card change. Norton Mobile Security does not send any text messages (SNS) about SIM card change. If the SIM card lock feature in Norton Mobile Security is enabled, the device gets locked as soon as a SIM card change is detected.
I doubt that there must be another app installed on the device which is triggering the SMS. Could you please check if you have any other security or Anti-Theft app installed on the device?

I thought that in addition to locking, I entered some phonenumbers to get a SMS notification that someone has changed the SIM card. But I don’t remember clearly.
You say that the NMS doesn’t have such a feature at all?
I don’t believe in miracles…
It's really a feature og Samsung Galaxy S2.
Sorry......
Hi RoPetri.
It is not a feature of NMS that I recognise and I cannot think how it would work. Also there does not seem to be any indication that it is coming from NMS. This seems doubly unlikely as it is a German worded SMS and I believe that you are using an English version of NMS.
I also doubt that it is a feature of the Samsung Galaxy S2. However you say that one of your SIMs comes from a German company. I suggest that you contact them and see if they recognise the message and can help.
Does that make sense?
If you do contact them it would be interesting if you could report back so that in future we will have a better understanding of what is happening.
All the best.
Those SMS are a featuire of the Galaxy.
Whith that Company 1&1, that feature just doesn't work properly.
I'll contact Samsung.
Hi RoPetri
I have a SGS2 and find that if the Sim Change Alert is active and
enabled you can disable it.
ICS- Menu> Settings>Personal> Security> Find My Mobile> Sim Change
Alert and untick the box
GB- Menu> Settings> Location and Security> Find My Mobile> Sim
Change Alert> and untick the box.
Next you will be prompted for a password, enter the password that
would have been used to set up the Samsung Account on your SGS2.
Enter that password and this should disable Sim Change Alerts.
Cheers.
Thanks!!!!
