I've spent the last two days uninstalling, reinstalling, using the Norton removal tool, installing from the Norton web site, using the automatic information that pops up from Norton regarding the various error messages I receive. I have spent seven or more hours in the last two days on this. (I own a copy of the program and have the installation disk.)
There are supposed to be three Symantec services running in services.msc. I only have two. That seems the the cause of all this I would venture to guess. I only see Norton Ghost and SymSnapService. What's not listed but should be is Symantec SymSnap VSS Provider.
I can perform a complete backup without error messages but cannot backup Files and Folders. As soon as I go to backup Files and Folders I receive the -Snapshot error %1. --Error EBAB03F1: OS error 2147754774. (UMI:V-0-1975-5).
I can't believe I'm the only person to have this problem. How can I proceed with this?
