Issue abstract: Is it possible to turn off the popups that are coming from this software?

Detailed description: I paid for software to prevent virus and spam activity. However, the software itself is always popping up advertisements about other products they have. How is this a good thing when the purpose for having the software is to avoid adware/spyware/antivirus etc? I want to turn this crap off. The reason I dumped McAfee is this same issue. Now I’m gonna get it here as well?

What is the error message you are seeing? Not an error, spamming me with popups about other product offerings. If I want those products, I WILL SEEK THEM OUT.

@Athyyra Unfortunately, there isn’t any way possible to stop the sell-up notices from appearing in Norton. Marketing is the business model used by software companies the past few years, and has been built into all the Norton products since the older 22.24.8.36 release, although, the latter version was more manageable in preventing them.
