I was expecting at least by some color change or logo change or icon change inside the buttom far right icon of NIS2011 when there is alert, or performance hit or intruders attact or something.....
Looks like you have to click the icon - open the application, either go to history OR Performance Monitor and find out what happened.....
It is NOT bad idea to change the color or flashing small icon inside the main icon - something like that......
