Right now I'm playing Torchlight. a not very demanding game and i get some mini freezes during play..even with anti virus disabled..Runs a lot better with anti virus uninstalled..Same withother games...I have xp and a 2,66ghh intel cpu...Nvidia 6200 card and a gig of ram..Not much of a computer I know.....
I know on the reviews Norton 2009 is supposed to be light on resources......Not too sure about 2010...It was a free upgrade from 9 for me. i know they make a gamers edition too....Is Norton as light on the system as the reviews say?
I will listen to any advice

Norton 2010 products introduced a new feature known as Quiet mode. You can add your game to the Quiet mode settings, which inturn stop detects the alerts from your Norton product. It helps you to play the game without any interruptions. For more information on Quiet mode and Silent mode, read:
