I am using Norton Security Suite, Version 5.2.2.3, from Comcast.
Yesterday I tried to update the firmware on my Sony PRS-T2 Reader with the software downloaded from the Sony USA website. The file is PRS-T2_Updater_1.0.02.08090.exe. According to Norton Security Suite, the file is safe. When I ran the installer, it extracted zipped files, but nothing else happened, except that a little window in the lower right corner of the screen opened, showing a red X, and explaining that SONAR had detected suspicious activity from the program "reader updater.exe" and blocked and removed it. Security history says, "Activity: Threat actions performed: 3".
I am at a loss now what to do. This is the first time Norton has prevented me from installing something. Is the program really a threat? Should I forget about updating the firmware?
If you suspect it as a false positive from Norton, please report it here:

You can temporarily disable AutoProtect/SONAR from Norton Security Suite and then install the software. Also, try to update Norton Security Suite to the latest version from your Comcast Account.

Thanks for your suggestions, HarryP..
I updated to the newer version of Norton Security Suite and am now running version 6.3.0.14. Before reading your comments, I didn't know that a newer version existed. I don't recall Comcast nofifying me about it.
Since I posted the message about my problem, a newer version of the Sony firmware has also come out (PRS-T2_Updater_1.0.03.09110.exe). I was able to install it without any objections from SONAR or any other Norton component.
Thanks again for your help,
Steve
