On my windows devices, on each of them, I have unchecked the setting in the 360 settings for special offers.
I do not want to install your browser.
I do not want to install your plugins for my browser
I do not want to know what is new. If Norton comes out with a new product, I’ll find out myself.
I don’t want to see popups on my computer from your product, unless it is informing me of a security warning that was prevented, or it needs my input on how to handle a threat.
What setting, short of uninstalling and unsubscribing from your product, do I need to select to stop receiving these bothersome spammy popups? I installed an antivirus and security suite. I did not install an adware suite.
Norton seems to have a distinct lack of means to contact the company through for support.
Outsourcing your support to your USERS is unacceptable. If I can’t find an answer for this, I’m not renewing my subscription. The primarily reason that I am subscribed is for the parental control app for mobile devices, which is also not sending my notifications anymore.
If I can’t ask an employee of Norton what the hell is wrong with their program, after searching online, I can’t find a way to send an email or submit a ticket… instead I have to ask the community, where everyone is just as clueless as I am…
Hi BJM. I’ve tried that. This post is a result of a few months of having to put up with this non stop.
If I say don’t show me again, I expect to never see a popup for that thing again. I don’t care if there is a new version of the AV suite, or if there is a new version of the plugin, or if there is a new version of their web browser.
If I have the ‘special offers’ setting turned off, I don’t expect to see these.
Doubly so, if I say do not show me again on a popup advertising a new feature, I expect to never see it again.
I haven’t tried to call, because quite frankly this should be something that can be submitted over email. Zendesk, jira or the like. That and I know for a fact that the T1 support people aren’t going to be able to help me out with this.
So, it isn’t possible to have someone who actually represents Norton or Symantec or whatever their corporate name is, to reply and address a customer’s concerns?
(As bjm has replied) I am in New Zealand and had an issue with Norton and their automatic subscription renewal 5 weeks before Norton 360 expired. They have an office in NZ and a phone number, answered straight away and advised me that I could disable the automatic renewal, and he then did it for me. I will now renew closer to expiry.
Could you try contacting Norton in another country if not available in your own.
I just searched for “Norton antivirus phone numbers worldwide” and followed a link to online chat with Norton, I did not follow it, but it seemed to be available
Do you have a direct number to someone in the United States that I can talk to? I don’t have time to sit on the phone trying to explain my problem to the T1 overseas techs. I know this is not something that they can address, so why can I not submit a ticket with Norton directly?
By only having phone support, the company is gently nudging its customers to not bother contacting them.
Where can I send an email or submit a direct ticket to someone at Norton? Not an overseas T1 phone call, but an email or a submit form.
