I have VPN on with Split Tunnel turned on and the browser Firefox excluded. Most of the websites I try on Firefox don't work. For example Walmart and Lowes don't load and Firefox says "Problem loading page - Secure connection failed". If I turn VPN off or remove it from the exclusion list, it works just fine. If Firefox is excluded it should operate normally as if the VPN is not turned on at all, right? This does not appear to be the case. Any ideas? Thanks.
Thanks
After talking with tech support, I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton and that fixed it. Should have thought of that myself. Thanks to the people who posted here trying to help me.
JCncc1701:Yes, I excluded the .exe as he did. Since you asked, I went back and tried to exclude the whole folder and it wouldn't even let me. Looks like the Ok button on the Browse for Files or Folders window isn't enabled unless you choose an executable file.
fwiw ~ I set Split Tunnel on and add exclusion with Norton 360 Secure VPN off.

lowes.com and walmart.com launch okay, for me, from Chrome....w/wo Split Tunnel on.

lowes.com and walmart.com: only lowes.com from Firefox is Access Denied.
Split Tunnel on with firefox.exe excluded....lowes.com launch okay....lowes.com reports my location 1000 miles away.
as always, your mileage may vary

Are you excluding the .exe file for your browsers as shown in bjm_'s image above? Or did you try to exclude the folder for the browser?
JCncc1701:Are you saying it works for you?
Yes, I'm saying Slit Tunnel on appears to work, for me, with Firefox main executable excluded.
Please note "walmart.com" launch'd okay, for me, with Split Tunnel off - Norton 360 Secure VPN on.
JCncc1701:
Even if it does, it doesn't for me.
I believe you.
JCncc1701:
I've also tested it with Microsoft Edge, and I received similar results.
I'll test Edge w/wo Split Tunnel.... and post back.
Are you saying it works for you? Even if it does, it doesn't for me. I've also tested it with Microsoft Edge, and I received similar results. Pages like walmart and lowes either timed out or couldn't get a secure connection. And, of course, it works fine if the browser being used is not excluded.
