SSL on Apache server on LAN generates abort and attack warning

Hi - I installed a self-signed SSL certificate for an Apache-Ubuntu web server on my local area network, using instructions given by Digital Ocean here:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-create-a-ssl-certificate-on-apache-for-ubuntu-14-04

The website is only for use on the LAN. The server is not on the internet, hence the use of a self-signed certificate.

However, when I use my Windows 10 PC (Chrome or Firefox) to surf to the webserver, Norton 360 blocks the connection and gives an error message saying "An intrusion by <the Apache-Ububtu server> was blocked" because traffic resembled the exploit "Meterpreter Reverse SSL".

If I temporarily disable Intrusion Protection in Norton the web pages load normally, so it's not a problem with the website.

How do I configure Norton 360 to permit me to browse to a webserver configured for SSL on the LAN?

I'm not asking how to configure the webserver, I'm asking how to configure Norton 360 on the Windows client to the SSL connection to the server is not blocked.

Thanks.
