I’ve had NAV on my desktop for years. Last month when I got a laptop, it came with NIS and since my desktop was due for renewal, I got NIS for both. Both have been running fine. I took the desktop to Staples for their “free” pc tuneup and ram install and they said they could not even boot up and it had a hijack virus. I was using the desktop 1/2 hr before I even took it to Staples and it had been fine. I’m suspicious now but since I don’t know enough about computers, I have no choice but to have them fix it. if it wouldn’t even boot up, that’s not something I could fix. They said this virus was very common so I asked if it was so common, why couldn’t Norton detect it? They had no answer. Has anyone had this happen legitimately or did I get taken?
