I installed Norton Security on my Android, and tested the android protection feature...assuming phone stolen.
Well, I can't SMS to anthing because it does not tell me how to do this.
I logged on the https:\\mobilesecurity.norton.com....then logged in as instructed. It sent a text to my (ahem) stolen phone!
That does not seem like a good solution! This has now advised the thief, who can "peek", that something is going on!
Of course, I NOW have access to alternative means of verification, which in my case is IP phone. And I could hurry to disable the phone or take picture or location, etc. But perhaps the verification options should pop up before assuming it is text to mobile phone. Or better yet..perhaps, one should key in the password, the phone number, then the passcode?
I got straight in without using a passcode. What is it for? In fact, I saw it displayed proudly on the screen.....
