Issue abstract: annoying pop-ups
Detailed description: Popups on bottom right keep coming up. I have turned off everything I could in the settings, but I sometimes cannot even get rid of a popup that shows up. For example, I slip in a USB stick to copy a file and ignore the “Scan” popup. After removing the USB stick, the message stays there. It was there for an entire day, and finally I had to put the stick back in and run the scan to get rid of it. I don’t want any of this stuff to pop-up automatically, except a virus detection. But there is no choice. The “Mute for…” is just a silly idea.

As long as you cannot Mute permanently the one-day maximum is pretty useless. Why can we not have the choice to mute ALL NOTIFICATIONS except for virus or intrusion detections? I can decide for myself when to check my drives and when.
@Tiradientes I had the same problem with the thumbdrive scan prompts but only on one of my computers. The others initially prompted me to scan the external drive but it went away permanently by clicking to stop. And as you posted, the popup window stays up. I used the Windows Task Manager to end the task.
All of my computers are running identical Windows OS so either there’s a glitch in v24 or some files got corrupted when v24 installed. Happy to say I don’t have that problem any longer. I got rid of v24 and rolled back to the previous version.
No problem here - seems to do what I want - not what Norton wants… As far as USB concerned, ‘ignoring’ so far has worked OK on all USB connections, old version had an option, lot of user options seen have disappeared… Since V24 seems to be continuous updates from Norton GUI changes etc, Recent version update required me to sign into my account, that version had quite a few changes in GUI etc. That was an auto update, no notification to Restart, just happened on it when opening GUI. On Window 11 Home fully updated, from control panel installed apps, Norton version No. 24.12.9725.1428, - from ‘About’ 24.12.9725 (build 24.12.9725.897) - confusing.
