Norton 360 24.10.x

Norton Chat support advised me Oct 17, 2024 that Norton v24.x will backup to local external drive…after the cloud back up is full.
Note: I’ve not tested this, at this time.

as per Norton Chat support agent: in summary

N360 v24 will back up into external drive once cloud backup is full.

If I want to back up to external drive…now…with current Norton v24 interface. Support agent will escalate my case to senior team and they will help me with that.

And to escalate my case agent will connect to my device remotely to collect some information about my device and then agent will escalate my case to senior team and they will help me with that.

I may however wait till my cloud backup is full and then I’ll be able to back up into my external drive. As per Support agent. I’ll be able to create new backup set and back up to my external drive.

So, my understanding…per Chat Support agent:
While v24 backup feature is changed regarding backup to external drive. Backup to external local drive can be done once cloud backup storage will be full. Note: I’ve not tested this, at this time.

as this time…my Cloud storage Used: 22 / 50 GB…my N360 v24 Data cache on local disk is only recognizing my internal drives.

Note: my Drive C: and Drive D: are internal drives

as per my N360 v24…at this time.

as per my understanding…from Norton support Chat agent.
Back up to local drive will be available once cloud storage is full.

Note: I do not know regarding…create a separate backup set to my local external drive.

My N360 v24 at this time has one working/synching backup set…per machine.
Note: all Dell names = same machine. HP name = other machine.
I’ve created more v24 backups (same and other machine)…but, they’re not working/synching. They’re only Restore.
