I’m writing to report an issue with the Norton Cloud Backup feature in the most recent version of Norton 360. When accessing a backup set within the program, the interface suggests that users can “Restore” or “Delete” files. However, despite these options being presented, it is not currently possible to delete individual files from a backup set.
This limitation is misleading and restricts effective management of cloud storage. In earlier versions of Norton 360—for example, version 22.23.10.10—the Norton Backup Drive was clearly listed under “My PC,” allowing users to view all backup sets tied to their account. From there, it was possible to open a specific backup set and delete individual files directly, giving users granular control over their stored data.
Removing this functionality in the latest version severely hampers our ability to maintain organized and efficient backups. Restoring files is helpful, but being able to manage and trim what’s no longer needed is equally essential.
I strongly recommend restoring the option to delete specific files within backup sets directly from the Norton 360 interface. This would greatly improve usability and align with the expectations set by prior versions of your software.
Thank you for your attention, and I hope this feature can be reinstated in a future update.
Hello @bjm I have the same issue. I can delete a complete cloud backup set, old or new, still in my computer or not . I can also delete specific files from the new backup set that is still in my computer, but Norton does not give the option to “manage” old backup sets that are not in my computer anymore. Norton only gives the option to “restore” old sets: you can restore a specific file or the whole old backup, but there is no delete option per file as the “remove from backup” that is shown when Norton gives the option to “manage” the backup.
