I am a long time Norton user dating back to the "early days" I currently have three computers and two phones "protected" under my account. Apparently some time in the last year as new features were being added to Norton Internet Security and/or Windows 10, I tried to get Microsoft Windows 10 to resolve a problem with device naming as it appears on my router (It uses a tiny UNIX kernel) Linksys WRT 1900AC. I managed to solve my issue there, but apparently have created one in the device history maintained by the website at Norton.
There are two instances counted for the same device in my subscription count and I can't figure out how to correct the problem. It looks like it may depend on which "user" logs into one of my three Windows 10 devices, each of them have the same four "identities" which are used to segregate work contexts for two senior citizens. The basic model is "yours, mine, and ours" with two indenpendent calendars and one combined, as well as a separate "Old Techie Geek" development and testing identity. I would like to "migrate" my Norton subscription to the "Ours" identity from the "Mine" identity, but with it showing two instances of the "oldest computer" and an instance of a computer I would like to rename, I need to know how to find and correct issues created by changing what used to be the "Netbios Name" of a device back in the day.
Can someone take a look at this issue and get back to me?
