I currently have Norton security deluxe for 5 devices. Can anyone tell me what the difference in renewal cost (NOT upgrade cost) is between Security deluxe for 5 devices and basic Norton 360 for 5 devices. I dont need VPN or cloud storage. I dont know why its so difficult to find any information on cost?
Cancel the automatic renewal now. That way you will not forget as you get close to the expiry date.
As it is inevitable that you are going to be upgraded to 360 at renewal time, why not just make the jump now and get used to the new product.
Thank you, I was wondering whether I could do that. I still have till June before my Security Deluxe expires, should I cancel my automatic subscription now or wait till closer to expiration date. I keep getting emails from Norton to upgrade to 360 for free for the rest of my current license. I just received Product key for 360 from Amazon, which I will use in June. Am I better of upgrading now to 360 so that in June all I would have to do is add new product key or waiting till Security has nearly expired
The renewal cost next year will be in line with what you have seen with your Norton Security. Over $100. The most economical way is to purchase a new subscription every year. Be sure you turn off the Automatic Renewal that will get turned on by default when you activate the new product key.
This pricing plan is used by many/most subscription based services. You get a discounted price for the first year as a new customer and the renewal will be at the then 'regular price' of the product/service. At least Norton allows us to continue to purchase at the new customer price each year.
With Security Deluxe the option to renew is not there, instead I have "you are enrolled in automatic renewal". I've tried every menu I can find to locate the renewal cost, why do they make it so difficult?. I vaguely remember coming across it some time ago and I think it was in the $105 ballpark, maybe a little more. I can get 360 for 5 devices from Amazon for $25 but my concern is how much will it cost me next year when I have to renew, will it be in a similar ballpark as Security Deluxe or a great deal more. Symantec should have a listing of their renewal costs not dupe you with a low starting price then hit you with a heavy bill in a years time.
So you want to keep the older Norton Security product. To check the renewal price, you can click on Renew by the Subscription Status in the Norton interface. That should show you the renewal price in a shopping cart. You will not be charged unless you complete the transaction. Then you can compare it to the new price for the 360 Deluxe.
A new subscription is always going to be less expensive than a Norton renewal.
Yes I am aware that 360 always comes with vpn and cloud storage, I just dont need it, and I have also come across the link I was sent for pricing but that pricing is for the 1st year only. Maybe I wasnt clear in my previous text, my question was what is the difference in price between the renewal cost of security deluxe for 5 devices and the renewal cost of 360 for 5 devices (including vpn and cloud storage). I can only find the initial pricing not the renewable pricing which goes up considerably
There is no Norton 360 subscription for 5 devices that does not have VPN or cloud storage. You can compare the plans on the Norton web site here. https://us.norton.com/products/norton-360-deluxe Scroll down the page to see the different subscription levels.
The Norton Antivirus Plus is the only level with no VPN, but it still has some cloud storage. But it only covers one device, so you would need multiple subscriptions.
