Thanks again Yank , so I purchase from Amazon or even Staples , get a download key/link , download onto one machine and then go to my second machine ; wouldn't I just use the key/link on this machine , not sure what you mean by "use your Norton's Management function" ??

As floplot stated, I would also recommend an upgrade with the purchase of a new Norton Security Deluxe Product which will cover 5 devices and by looking  around can be purchased at a cheaper price.  Saw it on Amazon the other day for $29.99.

Once you purchase the download and install on one system, you can install on the second system using your Norton's Management function.

NIS is the old line product which is only available as a renewal at the Norton Store. May I suggest to you the newer line of products Norton Security. If you decide to get that product, you can shop around for the best price. It is available by download only. The Norton Security Deluxe is good for up to 5 devices. This includes computers, Macs, tablets, Android cell phones and IOS cell phones. You will probably find it for a cheaper price than the price for NIS which is only good for computers.

thanks for taking my question Yank ; we are in the US and bought 2 laptops a year apart several years ago ,each with pre-installed Norton internet security ; since purchase I believe I've only renewed one Norton subscription annually but ,since we're on a home network , it seems that the subscription renewal was applied to each machine somehow ???

I plan on renewing the subscription for NIS soon on each machine and just wanted to check the steps involved ; I guess I could log onto each machine and do a 1-year renewal for each - does that sound right ??

My first question is where are you located?  I am in the US and we do not have a 2 device product offered, so by telling us the language/country product you are looking for we can provide more correct information.
