btw ~ I’ve not needed a verification code for Social Support or Chat Support.
I’ll receive a “verification code” sent to my Norton email address…just by opting Chat now.
On occasion Norton Chat agent wrote: I’m sending you a verification code…enter the code back to me. I’ll receive the email and type the number back.
Norton Chat agent usually just asks for my Norton email address.

btw ~ I’ve cobbled my Norton support via many times…thinking my help must be lacking …“if I change this or restate that” … surely, users will reach support…same as me.
