Suspected infection in web development files

Over the past few months I have been experiencing some crippling issues with my Dreamweaver software which I am advised must be due to a virus/worm or some such thing, and I am convinced this is the case.

Spurious changes are made as I use the software, which is probably why Nortons does not detect anything unusual.

For instance, it may randomly change prices from $9.95 to $9.96 or $100.00 to $100.01 (and I have seen this flip without my fingers on the keyboard), realign my layouts, or scrunch up text characters on top of each other. It re-codes little errors in my .css files - randomly and intermittently changing colours, spacing, or inserting double quotes around values so they won’t work - the list just goes on and on.

I am an experienced user of the software and therefore confident in what I am doing and do not make these kind of errors (well maybe on the very rare occasion!). Something has infected the files - but unfortunately Norton's can not detect anything wrong, and basically means I can not use the software anymore which cost several thousand dollars.

I also wish to note that recently (I have only been a Nortons customer for a few months) I have encountered the Nortons

Error 3048, 3 - usually after I have rebooted from using this infected software. For this I have run the Eraser Tool and also the Uninstall and Re-install tool. Nothing wrong is found.

God I hope there is someone out there who can help me with this.

Cheers,

Alison.
