I needed to remove NIS 2009 for Internet access problems. Once the problems were fix, I reinstalled NIS.
Now I get svchost popup errors: The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".
I found elsewhere a suggestion: To turn of DEP completely, go to the BOOT.INI file and edit the option /noexecute=optin to /execute
I am not to "keen" in changing BOOT.INI.
Is the a better fix?
