Sweetpacks infection from youtube download

[Removed] is the web page with the download.  I was downloading "Cars," and Norton flagged it as a SAFE download.  Almost immediately, Norton then warned me that it had stopped an intrusions coming FROM my own computer.

Since then, I've experienced the Sweetpacks redirect, but also my email account has been hacked and is actively sending out infected messages.  I don't know if that means I have an additional virus to sweetpacks.

After I located the download on my computer, I captured the Norton File Insight info on it:

BDRip+H264+5.1+ch-SecretMyth+(Kingdom-Release)

Dowloaded File Cars_2006_BDRip_H264_5.exe from thetorrn-tv.net

cars_2006_bdrip_h264_5.exe

I don't know if there's a clue to how to exterminate the virus in this.  But while I do need help with getting rid of it, I also wanted to provide you with this info, as it scans clean with Norton products.  I downloaded NPE, but it slipped by that, too.  It all scans as clean.

Please pardon my interruption. But are you saying you got infected from a video on YouTube?
I thought they were all screened for virus by the website? Or am I not understanding the issue

It was from a download from YouTube.  A snippet from Cars was on the site as a sample, and the YouTube user offered the entire movie as a download.  Norton scanned the download and declared it as safe.

Thank you, EdJr.

Will Norton want to take note of this?  I understand that Sweetpacks is so new that Norton does not yet recognize the threat.

YouTube doesn't work like that. It doesn't offer anything as a download, definitely not copyrighted movies. You have probably been scammed into thinking you were on YouTube when you in reality was on a different webpage entirely. Your logs from the first post indicates this, too - they have nothing to do with YouTube.

The Sweet(s) group is not malware and Norton won't detect it due to this.  Although there could always be something deeper, It is not always about what you can see, but what you can't.
