I purchased Ghost 15 online and downloaded it. Therefore, I didn't receive a Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD). I recently tried to create an SRD by downloading the SRD ISO image, and burning it to a CD-R. However, I can't figure out how to use it. The CD I created contains one file (Zipped) named NGH1501_AllWin_English_SrdOnly.iso. The ZIP file contains 64 files. I tried to run a Driver Verification using DRIVERVALIDATION.exe from these files (double clicking it), but the only thing that happens is the display of a text page titled "Symantec Driver Validation Usage." Nothing actually runs. Also, when I insert the CD I created, it does nothing to start any application. Do I need to unzip the files in the .iso ZIP before burning to the CD or what? Thanks!
An ISO is a disk image, it needs to be burned as a disk image and not a data disk.
If your using windows 7 you can right click on it and select "burn disk image". If your using another operating system you need a third party burning program, all of them should be able to burn a disk image.
ImgBurn is a free program if you need one.

Sorry, Dave, but I'm not gettng it. If I right click the ZIP file name in my Downloads folder, there is not selection for "Burn Disk Image." I am running Windows 7. In the bar at the top of the Downloads page, there is a "Burn" button. But when I click it, I just get a box with two radio button choices: "Like a USB flash drive" and "With a CD/DVD Player". No burn an image.
Your zip program must have set it'self as the default program for ISO files.
It's not really a zip file but most compression programs can open them.
Try right clicking on it and select "open with" then see if "Windows Disc Image Burner" is one of the chices you get.

If you can't get that to work then you should install ImgBurn, it's a very nice free program.
Get it here:
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Click where it says "Mirror 7 - Provided by ImgBurn"
In stall the program and then run it.
Choose the top left option "Write Image File to Disc"
On the next screen on top where it says "Please select a file" click the little button that looks like a folder to browse to the iso file.

Here is a short tutorial on burning an ISO file with ImgBurn:

Sorry for the confusion, but I discovered that I have a SRD that I apparently created when I first installed Ghost over a year ago. I loaded it up and it seems to work fine. Was able to run Driver Validation from it. I have a separate question re driver validation, which I'll post later. Thanks to all for their help!
