"Symantec Shared Component has stopped working" While Playing A Specific Game

Hi Guys,

I'm using N360 v3.0.0.135, but every-time I play the game "AION" after a few moments the error message "Symantec Shared Component has stopped working". After I close that window, in a few minutes it will appear again. Below are the details of the error :

I have tried turning on "Slient Mode" but the same error still appears. Does anyone know how to deal with this kind of issue? All I could do now is minimize the error message while playing. N360 has been re-installed too, with no luck.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Hi Chiehkai,

Can you please post a screen shot of the error message here?

Also try the HotFix tool from the following link:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20090408120517EN

Also this is Norton Internet Security / Norton AntiVirus board, I will ask the moderators to move your thread to the Norton 360 board.

Hi Chiehkal,

Welcome to Norton Community!

I think, AION game is conflicting with the Symantec Shared Components(CLTLMH.EXE) when you play it Online. You can try allowing the Symantec Shared Components(CLTLMH.EXE) for complete access through Firewall. Go to the Program Rules in Firewall settings. Change the Internet Access for Symantec Shared Components(CLTLMH.EXE) to ALLOW. If it is not listed there, you can add it the file to Program Rules from the following location and then set it to ALLOW:

C:\Program Files\Norton 360\Engine\3.0.0.135\CLTLMH.EXE

Let us know if this works for you.
