Hi tasman, Can you provide any more information on the error? Ghost reports all warnings and errors to the Windows Event log. Could you look at the application event logs and check for any warnings/errors from Ghost, Ghost Service, V2i, Volume Shadow Copy Service, etc? Have you run LiveUpdate in Ghost until there are no more updates? Thanks!
Tony_Weiss, Thanks for your reply .
I do not get a error and have did a complete back up of my c: drive and everything seems ok, I do a independent back up and am just wondering if I need this service (symantec symsnap vss provider) to run on automatic or can in be set to manual and will it start when I do a back up
Windows xp pro
Symsnap is a service which creates a snapshot of the drive which is used to create a backup of a working system (while running Windows). It is not recommended to disable this service.
pore_vinod, I am not going to disable it , I just want to have it set to manual instead of automatic as I just do independent back ups of my system . I want it set to manual and need to know if it will start when I do an independent back up
