I have been reporting issues like this since ages. You guys need to hire better developers who can write more stable code. They will fix an issue in one version and in the next version--it will start crashing again.
Looks like the kernel panic and the related runaway SymDaemon issue may have returned in Mac 8.5.10. I had this issue in earlier versions of Norton 360 during Dec 2019 - June 2020 with ongoing sudden reboots making my Mac unusable. This was finally somewhat resolved around July/August 2020 and I hadn't had any issues until a sudden reboot today. The earlier thread about this issue has been closed to any further comment. Like before, I have gathered logs including NortonLifeLockSupportData.zip and SymantecInfo.zip that will that I expect will be needed again so I can help Norton fix THEIR product once enough users suffered and Norton assigns a moderator to this thread to gather the logs. My subscription was set to expire in December. I asked for an extension to my subscription without cost due to all of my earlier issues. This was granted. But, now here we go again.
