Ugraded to Win.8.1 on home PC. When accessing IE 11, IE crashes and then re-re-opens fine. Faulting module name is SYMHTML.DLL. Was working fine prior to upgrade to Win 8.1.
I have used NRT to un install and then re installed. And problem remains.
Other than complete system rebuild, any suggestions?

Until Symantex releases a fix there is not much you can do.

As far as i know it happened with previous versions of IE when you were opening many tabs and downloaded files from each tab.
Now you mention that it happens as soon as IE 11 is launched.
