A good first step would be to get Norton Internet Security 2009, and performing a full system scan in Safe Mode. If tht doesn’t resolve the problem, I would recommend that you follow the steps listed in the How To Troubleshoot a Suspected Malware Infection announcement. Thanks!
Hi
See if you can find any of these processes in the taskmanger, and end those processes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sav.exeSAV2008Setup[1].exeSystemAntivirus2008.exe
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The registry entries for this is:-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\"Antivirus" = "%ProgramFiles%\System Antivirus 2008\Antvrs.exe"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AntivirusHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Antivirus
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then remove these files.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sav.exe
sav.cpl
SAV2008Setup[1].exe
wininet.dll
shlwapi.dll
Uninstall System Antivirus 2008.lnk
System Antivirus 2008.lnk
SystemAntivirus2008.exe
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope this helps
If more help is needed, please personal message me, as there could always be slighty different variants

Hi Cestusrex
Can you try downloading Malwarebytes', update the definitions, then do a full system scan with it.
Let us know how you get on, thanks.
