I've just tried to install Password Manager 2004 and Norton SystemWorks 2008 and it seems that both programs work. You just have to install NPM 2004 first, and then NSW 2008. The problem is, that NPM 2004 cannot be installed seperately from Norton SystemWorks 2004, so you should have an individual copy of NPM 2004. You can download the program from here, but you'll need a product key too. And here is the other problem - NPM 2004 is too old, and I suppose it's already discontinued, and I'm not sure if Symantec can provide you a product key about this program.

So, I think NSW 2008 was not the right choise for you, as you also need a program that can save your passwords, logins, credit card information etc. The latest Symantec products that can meet your needs are: Norton Internet Security 2008 and Norton 360, which both have a new feature called Identity Safe, that works just like Norton Password Manager. Personally, I recommend you:

1. Norton 360 - Identity Safe, complete protection and optimizes your PC by removing unwated files, automatic defragmentation and registry cleanup, and is able to backup files too.

2. Norton SystemWorks + Norton Internet Security 2008 - Identity Safe, complete protection and complete system maintenance

If you still insist on using NPM 2004, use Symantec Costumer Service.

Thanks for the quick response.  I have used SystemWorks on both my Macs and my PCs for what seems forever.  The last time we upgraded the SystemWorks we were told to delete PasswordManager and install the new software and then load PW on top of the installation.  Hadn't occurred to me that I could go the other way.

I think I will look into acquiring the latest password protection and storage software.  Thanks again for the advice.
