Taplika may be a bad PUP-py

Somehow I managed to download Taplika as an unintended part of something else that I downloaded. Apparently it is my fault, since I should have read all of the fine print and legalese that is in the disclosure statement (does anyone actually do that in the real world ?) and should not have downloaded whatever it was that got this included in the download package. Taplika has hijacked Internet Explorer and is putting obnoxious adds in several places. From a Google search, it appears to open my browsing to other sites that also add things to my browsing experience that I do not want to have. This is defined as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Software) rather than Malware. I think that it is actually Malware since it is now changing the settings on my computer (in the registry) without my permission.

The removal instructions are extremely complex and the various sites that have the instructions all want me to download removal software.

Does anyone know when will Norton have Taplika removal software installed as part of the protection package?
