Norton Ghost 14 has been backing up my SATA 250GB C: drive with no problems the last couple of years. However, I have never had the opportunity to test the full backup properly. Today I purchased a new 320GB SATA drive which I will install as a data drive to hold pictures, movies etc. and free up some space on the primary 250GB C: drive. I thought this would be an opportune time to make sure Ghost 14 is working ok for me and that I understand how to recover my system in the event of a catastrophic disk failure. I intend to remove the current C: drive and install the new 320GB blank drive in its place. I'll boot the system using the Ghost 14 recovery disk and do a recovery from the latest backup recovery point. If the computer boots and runs properly after doing this I'll feel very confident everything is working fine.
One nagging question though. Will I have problems when I put the original 250GB C: drive back in place along with the new 320 GB data drive since they are now both bootable and contain system files? The second 320GB drive will be installed using a PCIEX1 interface card.
Thanks,
Mike
