Yesterday an automatic Norton Utilities Premium updater started- it never installed the update and erased my original Norton Utilities. If I go to the Norton site and try to re-download Norton Utilities Premium, it keeps telling me it's already installed. It's not anymore.
Colin Brookes:The same happened to me but on reflection the "update" did not come through Live update but as an E Mail link. Obviously a nasty scam and I reloaded Utilities (360) and did it all back OK and live dated two updates. This 360 premium is working far better than Utilities which I had given up on months ago. I am also using 360 Norton with mixed results, annoying is Password Manager which, even after enabling it until I am blue in the face, when I start up next time it is unenabled every time. This is due for the chop if this continues.
Are you noting you have issues with Norton Utilities Premium (17) or Norton 360? This thread is about Norton Utilities.

Have you restarted your computer since the update? Restart, not shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
