Hi!
Wondering if Norton antivirus can actually stop connections with a remote computer? I just got this antivirus installed, and now when I'm trying to link up with another computer using TeamViewer, the connection is interrupted. Keeps giving me this "TeamViewer timeout" error. Do you think the antivirus could be the cause? Also, any good alternatives to TeamViewer for Windows 10 that you'd recommend?
Thanks!
Hi! I've got a hunch it's just a fluke that the connection went wonky after slapping on the antivirus. That specific error you're seeing probably means you've hit the limit. TeamViewer puts a cap on the free version, and once you cross it, the connection is disconnected.
Now, for some alternatives – you might wanna check out AnyDesk. Alternatively, if both your machines are Windows-based, you can give Microsoft remote desktop a shot. Fair warning, though, it can be a bit trickier to set up.
And if you're on the lookout for a freebie, consider https://www.helpwire.app/ I use it myself it user-friendly plus no limits.
Hello. Have you checked these Team Viewer settings?

And are you using the Norton 360 VPN with this connection?
Microsoft Quick Assist is a good alternative to TV: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/install-quick-assist-c17479b7-a49d-4d12-938c-dbfb97c88bca
