"The renewal code you have entered is invalid. Please re-enter your Renewal Code"
I paid for a renewal and received the 19 letter code via e-mail.
I have tried to re-activate as suggested in another thread - it still does not accept my renewal code.
Product is NIS 2008
Windows XP Home with SP3
Hi Murray654,
Kindly contact Symantec Customer Services as early as possible. Sometimes the renewal code that they have sent to you may be incorrect. In that case, the Customer Services people can help you with resetting the renewal code and provide you the new renewal code. Hope you have the necessary information such as Order number for subscription renewal. Let us know the results.

Hi,
The renewal code is now accepted - I had to “synchronize with the symantec server” http://service1.symantec.com/Support/norton2008.nsf/docid/2007072102313079
Problem solved
Hi,
I have never had a problem either until now. I paid for a renewal code-19 digits/numbers and it is stating it is invalid. And I have tried it many times. Even c/p from the email. Can someone tell me how to "re-activate" it so I may try again? I have NIS 2009-I downloaded it while I had 2008 version. That version was supposedly removed and then the 09 version installed. This is version: 16.2.0.7 and I am running Windows Vista 64bit. I have it installed on my other 2 pcs also as I am a 3-PC user.
Thanks,
ITZ
This was solved through the chat session. The code that I was sent was NOT an. “activation” code…not sure why they sent a code that didn’t work. The tech provided the activation code and BAM, all was good
