The source code for Windows XP SP1 and other versions of the operating system was allegedly leaked online today.
A person who claims have spent the last two months compiling a collection of leaked Windows source code released a 43 GB torrent today of their entire collection.
As a follow-up, at least one developer has compiled successfully, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 from the previously reported leaked source code. The full article can be viewed here.

Interesting indeed. Microsoft is notorious for recycling older code into their next gen operating systems. This is also a good visual, for those who just cannot seem to understand how vulnerable they are when using older operating systems. And, why companies will at some point in time, stop their support for those older systems. The liabilities become too over whelming.
