Apparently an HP affiliated computer repair company out of Florida. Has anyone had any experience with them resolving Trojan Viruses? Thanks
Hi Hardper7777:
You might want to search for "Eagles Repairs" in the HP community or contact HP customer support and ask them to clarify their association with this company. I found one thread in the HP Printer Setup, Software & Drivers board at This Company: "Eagles Repair LLC" / "TECH MACWIN (FL)", called me (referred by HP) in a live chat where the original poster was charged $321 by Eagles Repairs just for helping to set up their HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One printer.
If you haven’t already done so I’d suggest running a reputable second-opinion malware scanner like Malwarebytes Free to see if it can find any PUPs (potentially unwanted programs like adware, unwanted browser toolbars, etc.) or malware that might have been missed by your antivirus. If Malwarebytes doesn't detect and remove the trojan from your system you can request free malware removal assistance in their Windows Malware Removal Help & Support board.
There are other reputable sites like BleepingComputer's free Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Help board where a trained malware removal specialist can help you remove malware from your system, but you sometimes have to wait 3 to 5 days to have a specialist assigned to your case on this site.
EDIT:
Sorry, I didn't realize SoulAsylum had already posted a link to the same topic in the HP community while I was composing my reply.
