Time extension requests don't work

When my child requests time. I get the notification on my phone (usually) .
When I grant them more .. my child doesn’t get the time. Their computer remains locked.
(Norton Family on PC and parent app on android)

Thanks for reaching out to Norton Family forum.
On analyzing the backend data, we observe that recent time extension request has been approved, but the approval has not reached client possibly due to a backend glitch.
Could please try updating the house rules from Norton Family TrayIcon by following the below step:
Right Click on “Norton Family” TrayIcon and choose “House Rules” and check if the extension approval is reflected on the child’s machine.

I’m having this same issue! Extendeding time using the App usually does not work. The “workarround” suggested requires the child to undertake difficult actions. When I’m remote, I cannot help my child. I think Norton should really fixed this in a robust and fundamental solution; this functionality is a primary functionality of the Norton Family product. I’m having to extend my subscription within a few days, but basic things of your product are not working correctly!

Same issue, in addition instant lock doesnt work either. It seems that the application isnt mainting updates with the cloud servers, thus the command doesnt make it back to the client. Other thing I have observed.. If I block an App, the app will remain usable until the client successfully makes contact with the servers. I can force this by updating the house rules on the client. I have reinstalled multiple times. Norton, please ensure the client and servers maintain constant communications.

I’m also having this issue, Norton, I think you need to get this fully working as its a core function and your selling this as product which we’re already paying for, this has been raised multiple times and its nearly 9 months since the 1st post about this, please get your act together and sort so we have proper fully functioning product. I may be asking for a refund soon as this is the sole reason i bought this.

I am having the same issue. Is this being worked on? If not I will need a refund.
