Time restrictions not working at all

I have the time supervision feature turned on for my kids. However, it does not seem to do anything to prevent them access.  Right now, for one kid I have the time turned off from 12 PM - 10 PM Fri-Sat (Weekend Nights) and it is currently 3:24 PM and they continue to access the internet and computer. It has done nothing to limit access.  There are no messages online either about the time being restricted.

Hi Ichandle,

Please specify the total amount of time that a child is allowed to use the computer on weekdays(Mon - Fri) and Weekends (Sat -Sun). Currently, you don't have them selected. For example, you can allow the child to use the computer for two hours for each of these two categories.

By doing that, it will work.

Thanks,

Katie

I don't want to restrict the total time, just the "times" they are allowed to be on.  I would assume that since the amounts aren't checked and it defaults to 24 hours, that there is no time limit.

However, I do want to restrict the time of day they can get on.  That is the part that is not working..

Ichandle,

If only the Range of hours blocking XX from using the computer is selected (leave the total hours allowed unchecked), in a way, the total hours allowed per day is implied.  In your case, the maximum allowed time  for School Nights (Sun-Thurs) is 15 hours and for Weekend Nights (Fri – Sat) is 14 hours.  Please enter these hours to the Total hours per day (Allowed time) to make the feature work for now.

I see your point.  I’ll report it to QA and post the thread as soon as I get an update on this.

Thanks,

Katie

This range setting is mainly for the night,  If you are saying 12pm-10pm, it would be 12pm-10pm of Saturday/Sunday.

Yes, I agree it is a little bit confusing, and I know we are planning to improve this part so that there will be ambiguity.
