TomTom Home Device not Connected

I contacted TomTom support as I updated my software to the latest version. Since upgrading my GPS does displays "no device connected" in the window (see attachment of screenshot). I can see the files & folders on my Windows 10 PC and is connected in device manager. The TomTom support informed me to turn off "Smart Firewall" to allow device to connect. This did not work so TomTom Support informed me to contact Norton and have the TomTom XXL device added to the "Trusted Site List". Are you able to assist?
