I have set the option to "Ignore" tracking cookies in NIS. But, every time that an idle time scan is run, it removes tracking cookies. This requires me to reconfigure settings for a bunch of web sites each time that the idle time scan completes its work. Can't I get NIS to obey my "Ignore" setting on idle time scans?
Using Norton Internet Security version 18.5.0.125.

Running Windows XP Professional with SP3. No other real-time scanners of any type. My previous security program was NIS 2010, and it was upgraded to NIS 2011.
Hi swjackson,
Persistent cookies that you use for websites you regularly visit are not tracking cookies, so Norton should not be removing these, even if it were set to remove tracking cookies. Check your browser settings. In IE, click Safety (or Tools on the Menu Bar) > Delete Browsing History.... Make sure "Preserve Favorites website data" is checked and that "Cookies" is unchecked.
