Hi Everyone,
I am using Norton Security Version: 22.9.0.71 with Windows 7 SP3 as the host OS.
I created an inbound traffic rule to block port 139 and port 445 which both use SMB protocol.
When I scan from a MFP using that port the packet comes through just fine and that is the problem. I want that packet to be blocked but the traffic rule is not working.
I uninstalled Norton Security and instead created inbound rules from Windows Firewall and that worked perfectly. But Norton Security would not block those ports because the scans came in successfully. Those scans travel through port 139 and 445 because they use SMB. I wont everything to be blocked from those ports and protocol.
Any ideas?
