Transfer License to New Computer

One of my two computer does not longer works and I am replacing it with a new one.  I would like to transfer the license, but you help system is telling me I need to uninstall it from the old computer before I install it into the new.  The computer does not work, how can I uninstall? Could you please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks,

Heidi Fuentes

Since you can't uninstall lit don't worry -- jusst contact the Norton OnLine Customer Support team via the CHAT link as below and they have the tools and access to the central database to liberate that one used activation and enable you to use it again.

IMPORTANT -- See the text after the box with how to contact Support!

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there. You may have to scroll down a little to see the CHAT button.

You can choose CHAT or Email; email or phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.

Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.

Your new computer almost certainly will come with a trial installation of some kind of security software, maybe Norton maybe something else and it is very important to deal with that before you try to install your Norton 360 that you had on the old computer.

So before you try anything would you please tell us what security software is on the new PC and then we can tell you how to deal with it.

Also do you have the Standard version of Norton 360 (2GB of free online storage) or the Premier version (25GB of free online storage)? If you let us know we can give you a link to download an installation file that is much more uptodate than any you may have on disk.

It may be helpful if you tell us what version of Windows comes on your new PC -- almost certainly Windows 7 in the 64 bit version?

I am having difficulties connecting to chat.  Please have someone contact me
