Trojan Horse virus-notification "SNH-gen [Trj]" & How to destroy

Hello everyone,

For me the function of anti-virus software should be simple and effective. A) I get a simple Norton-notification every time I use Windows Media Player. It says the software is infected by a Trojan Horse virus called “SNH-gen [Trj]. See screenshot below.

But then step B) destroying and deleting the damn thing is nowhere to be found. Can someone help me getting rid of this virus? Thanks in advance.
